An idiom is a group of words, or in other words, a phrase that has a meaning different from the literal meaning of the words in it.

bail out (someone) or bail (someone) out

Meaning:
to pay a sum of money that allows someone to leave jail while waiting for a trial

Example:
The singer had to pay much money to bail himself out of prison.
