An idiom is defined as - a group of words in a fixed order that has a particular meaning that is different from the meanings of each word on its own.


Idiom:
too rich for (someone's) blood

Meaning:
to be too expensive for someone's budget

Example:
The piano was too rich for our blood so we did not buy it.
