Phrasal verbs are two or more words that come together to give us a new verb with a different meaning from the original words.

box someone up
Meaning:
to confine someone in a small area.
Example:
Please don't box me up in that little office.
A group of words which have a different meaning when used together from the one they would have if you took the meaning of each word separately.
