A phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or adverb or both and that functions as a verb whose meaning is different from the combined meanings of the individual words


Phrasal Verb:
bring someone over from some place

Meaning:
to bring someone from a place, from nearby, or from a great distance.

Example:
They brought over the neighbors from across the street.
