Phrasal Verb


Phrasal verbs consists of a basic verb + another word or words. The two or three words that make up a phrasal verb form a short 'phrase' - which is why we call them 'phrasal verbs'.


Phrasal Verb:
run around

Meaning / Example:

1. to run here and there.
> Why are you running around? Sit down and be quiet.

2. to go here and there having meetings or doing errands.
> I've been running around all day, shopping for the party tonight.
