A phrase that consists of a verb with a preposition or adverb or both, the meaning of which is different from the meaning of its separate parts.


Phrasal Verb:
smuggle someone or something out of some place and smuggle someone or something out

Meaning:
to move someone or something across a border out of a place illegally and in secret.

Example:
Judy smuggled her cousin out of the country in a van.
