Phrasal Verb
Phrasal verbs are compound verbs that result from combining a verb with an adverb or a preposition. The resulting compound verb is idiomatic.
Phrasal Verb:
suck someone or something under [for a current or waves]
Meaning:
to pull someone or something beneath the surface of the water.
Example:
The strong rip tide almost sucked me under!
