Phrasal Verb
Phrasal verbs are two or more words that together act as a completely new verb with a meaning separate from those of the original words.
Phrasal Verb:
sweat something out
Meaning / Example:
1. to get rid of something in one's body by sweating.
> I have a bit of a cold, and I am going to try to sweat it out.
2. to endure something unpleasant.
> It was an ordeal, but I sweated it out.
3. to endure suspense about something.
> She sweated the two-hour wait out until she heard the results of her bar exams.
A verb combined with an adverb or a preposition, or sometimes both, to give a new meaning.
